The story of VIOVOC didn’t start in a tech incubator; it started in a clinic. For 35 years, our founder, Dr. Lawrence Kosinski practiced as a gastroenterologist, witnessing firsthand the toll of the weight-loss struggle. He saw the frustration of the scale that wouldn’t budge and the exhaustion of patients told to “just eat less” or “cut carbs.”

Driven by an intense, restless curiosity, Dr. Kosinski refused to accept the status quo of “calories in, calories out.” He knew there was a better way—one that didn’t involve forcing the body into submission, but rather understanding its unique, silent language.

In 2021, this spirit of innovation led to a breakthrough: What if we could decode the signals our gut microbiome is already sending through the air we produce? After three years of rigorous research and medical validation—resulting in multiple publications and presentations at major medical meetings—he decided to move this science out of the lab and into the lives of the people who needed it most.

Dr. Kosinski has always believed in surrounding himself with brilliant minds who share his work ethic and a deep, human desire to make people healthier. He also held one unique, non-negotiable standard: his partners had to have a sense of humor. He knew that if they were going to take on the massive challenge of transforming human health, the journey had to be as joyful as the destination.

He found that perfect balance in Dr. Anton Decker, a physician-executive who bridges the gap between complex strategy and the human experience, and Prabhu Sadasivam, a technology veteran who knows how to make powerful platforms feel simple and intuitive.

But the vision didn’t stop with the founders. We’ve since brought in a handful of specialists to round out the team—people who are the best at what they do, whether that’s high-level engineering, design, or clinical research. Every person at VIOVOC was hand-picked not just for their credentials, but because they actually care about the people we’re trying to help. They ensure that even as our technology gets more advanced, it stays grounded in the human need that started it all.

Founder & Chief Medical Officer

Dr. Kosinski spent 35 years in the trenches of clinical gastroenterology. A Chicago native and Kellogg MBA graduate, he co-founded the Illinois Gastroenterology Group—the largest GI practice in Illinois. Known throughout his career as an inveterate innovator, he has been a defining voice in national healthcare policy through his leadership in the American Gastroenterological Association and his work with the HHS Physician Focused Payment Model Technical Advisory Committee.

A serial entrepreneur and pioneer of value-based care, Dr. Kosinski also founded SonarMD and currently serves as the CMO of Jona, an AI-powered microbiome company. With VIOVOC, he is pivoting decades of clinical wisdom toward a wellness tool that helps users listen to their biology without the struggle of traditional dieting or invasive testing. Outside the clinic, he is a dedicated cook of Italian food who has kept the same sourdough starter going for over twenty years. He and his wife are passionate about rescuing elderly Chihuahuas; he even made national news after successfully performing CPR—or as he calls it, “mouth-to-snout”—on his own rescue.

Dr. Anton Decker is a leading global healthcare executive who thrives at the intersection of high-level strategy and patient-centered care. As the former President of Mayo Clinic International, he oversaw a global footprint, leading operations and partnerships across the Americas, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia.

Whether he’s leading massive hospital networks or navigating complex international health initiatives, Anton’s focus is on driving transformation that actually improves lives. At VIOVOC, he brings a world-class strategic mind and a deep commitment to innovation that looks beyond traditional healthcare for answers. He never forgets his roots growing up in a medical family where no patient was ever turned away. A lover of design and art, he weaves that aesthetic sensibility into everything he builds.

Prabhu Sadasivam

Prabhu Sadasivam brings nearly three decades of experience at the intersection of technology, data, and real-world impact. As Vice President of Technology at LexisNexis Risk Solutions, he leads large globally distributed engineering teams and oversees platforms that power decision-making across Auto, Life Insurance, and Healthcare—systems that process billions of transactions at scale.

VIOVOC began with a simple question: How do we take something as complex as human biology and make it understandable, actionable, and personal? His approach is grounded in a core belief: the best technology is invisible—what matters is the clarity it brings to people’s lives. Throughout his career, Prabhu has focused on simplifying complexity, building AI-driven platforms, scaling cloud-native systems, and translating massive datasets into clear decisions. At VIOVOC, that same philosophy is applied to human health.

Prabhu holds graduate degrees in Computer Science and Business Administration, along with executive education from Harvard University. A gold medalist in Computer Applications, he combines deep technical expertise with a strong business lens.

Beyond his professional work, he is a passionate astronomer, exploring the universe through real data and first principles. That same curiosity—understanding complex systems by observing signals—carries into his work at VIOVOC, where the mission is to decode the body’s signals into meaningful guidance.
